I'm currently in the process of insulating my garage (cold roof). I'll be using a Moll Intello vapour control membrane after the insulation and before battens and plasterboard. The boiler is currently located on the brick wall and as such can't be wrapped (sealed) with the membrane. Is it acceptable to leave this portion of the wall unsealed? To me it doesn't make sense to spend a fortune on the wrap and tape to ensure it's sealed in all locations but one. Will this just be a place where all of the moisture will accumulate? Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
