Garage Roof

Can anyone tell me if (OSB) 16mm Orientated Strand Board, Bitumen coated may be used for a garage roof, and would it be possible to cover it in roofing felt, many thankx. Geordie

OSB are really cheap material for lightweight building eg shed roof / floor etc.......

You can't really walk on the OSB as they're not strong enough.


For your garage I would use exterior plywood.(safer and stronger)

"would it be possible to cover it in roofing felt" Only with hot bitumen and not nailed down roof felt type.

Not sure your roof layout have you thought about using twin wall polycarbonate sheet ( not cheap! ) as you can forget about it as with bitumen roof are prone to leak
