Recently moved into a new house and I think the garage might need a new roof..,
It doesn't seem to leak but the previous owner has put some guttering in the roof to stop the water puddling.
To be honest, I only use the garage for storing garden equipment etc so I'm not overly concerned about it, but the guttering from the roof goes straight onto the grass which floods/kills the grass so I need to repair that section.
Now I assume the bit of guttering was put there as a preventative measure to stop the roof leaking so I have temporarily covered it up to see what happens.
Any ideas on what I can do (cheap!) to waterproof it?
Would that waterproof bitumin paint and a layer of stones help?
Is there a way to add slope to the roof without ripping it all off? Then I could add some guttering round the edges.
Also, any ideas what this material is...
Woodfibre bitumin board?
Cheers
