what you suggest is not a good idea, only the other day this was mentioned, try a search, power to: shed, garage, outhouse

Depends on the size, the load, the type of protective device, the rating of the protective device, the type of supply you have and what your Ze is.

Do a search here for words like shed, garage, outside, outbuilding etc.

This is a useful guide: http://www.kevinboone.com/cableselection_web.pdf

And this summarises the important relationships between load, cable capacity and fuse/MCB ratings: //www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=81696#81696

You should read these:
http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Book/4.1.1.htm (or at least sections 4.2 & 4.3)

http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Book/7.13.1.htm

But before deciding to do anything you must read this: http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si2004/20043210.htm
