Well the weather here in swansea is attrocious tonight, so much so that there is a seriously bad draft coming in through the vent outside for my gas boiler. The wind is soo bad that the pilot light keeps going out and is impossible to relight.

Looking outside the vent is offered no protection from such weather and so I guess it needs something like a hood or a shelter to stop the wind coming in so much. Can I buy such a thing and where from?

help someone please?

It also seems that my program control swtich box is on its way out as well, how easy would this be to replace?

sorry just realised that perhaps this should be in the plumbing forum - if so please can you move it mods!

No don't put a hood or shelter over the flue, This can be dangerous

Nine times out of ten....it will be a combustion chamber seal problem. Whilst I agree with the above post in general, there are occasions when a shield of some sort is the only practical answer...but a last resort I'd say.
PM me and I might be able to help you out for an exhobirdant fee :D
