Gas bottle in caravan

Father in law has caravan , and is putting new 2 burner gas stove in and is moving gas bottle from outside, and placing it inside caravan directly under gas stove, is this wise?
Gas bottle is blue with an unknown history, do gas bottles have a use by date?

My main concern is my two pre school children who stay overnight in caravan on occassions, and father in laws wellbeing of course

No it aint, why move it from the outside ?

Its a bad move for obvious reasons.

Tell your F-I-L you won't let the kids stay if he dont put the bottle back where it was.
