One of my tenants has a fault with there gas cooker, 3 rings work and 1 doesn't.

What classification would this be. AR ?

Get it fixed, then it won't need classification. It might only be blocked or the ignition doesn't work. In what way is it faulty?

+1

But it could be ID - depends on the actual fault.
Is it your cooker?

Yeah, my cooker.

It gets gas but won't light of the ignition button where as the other 3 do.

Get it fixed as said above, for safety's sake. However, if the only problem is that it won't light from the built in electronic igniter, supply them with a hand held gas lighter until its fixed.

Would YOU pay £50 or so plus parts or use a hob lighter?

I on't think I would class it as AR or anything else.
