We have a small outset gas fire in one of our rooms using a class 1 chimney for fumes. If this chimney is "gas tight" without a gas liner (no sign of one), could this be taken back to solid fuel which it was originally?
There are plenty of draughts.

A simple flue flow test with a smoke pellet would determine the current integrity of your flue.

also checking that termination is sufficient for proposed use...

Might be worth checking also if area is smokeless free zone.
If unsure of any aspect of solid fuel installation source a HETAS approved installer.. good luck
