Gemini Oil Boiler

Gemini Oil boiler approx 10-14 yrs old. Intermittently fails, won't fire up after switching illuminated button. We turn system off and on again (from when it has failed and up to 12 hrs later) and it may or may not start up - frustratingly engineer is called and and then its working again. Have bled radiators, added noise reducer and inhibitor, adjusted air control. No joy. Help!
