Yes let's leave Tony to enjoy his multi millionaire retirement. Let's not bother trying to send a message to any other corrupt politicians that they may be held to account for their actions in future. Let's just move on.....into world war 3 which he and his ilk seem to have precipitated us towards.

Seems to me, the best way to punish folk like Blair isn't to imprison them but to make them poor... I understand that the families of fallen servicemen intend to take legal action against Blair funded by contributions from the public...

Why not make him poor and send him to prison?
It's no less than the duplicitous bstrd deserves.

Why not?
Or are you saying that people who abuse positions of power while enriching themselves should not be accountable because there's lot's and lot's of them?
Perhaps if they were held accountable where possible there would be less of them in the future.

Then the public should know that all their money is going to do, is fund the pockets of solicitors and barristers, on a fruitless legal action.

Yep, Teflon Tony will weasel his way out of any attack on his evil self.

The public already know that.... It is only fruitless if you don't try, it could take years but they will get there.

I don't think such things are done, or even contemplated, for wealthy ex-leaders.

Is the same proposed for Bush?

Perhaps the aggrieved would be better off pursuing the MOD for their crap procurement and inadequate (negligent) provision of equipment - which is something that Chilcot did actually conclude.
