glow-worm boiler fuel saver mark 2

I have been told over the phone that her boiler,glow-worm fuel saver mark 2 is not firing up when the time clock(randall ndall 702) is asking for heating or hot water.The poilet light is lit ,the lights on the time clock all come on when she as asked the boiler to do something,hot water on ,lights come on,turn to manual,lights come on but the boiler will not fire up
help needed.

If external controls ok then gas valve has probably failed. They are the old Mclaren type valves which are now obselete. Hope i'm wrong you'll have a job getting one, although I did see one for sale on Ebay the other week. I am not the seller by the way.
 
Either a 24v robertshaw valve or a 24v honeywell both still avialable could also be the transformer gone and burnt the gas valve out.
