Please help if you have any suggestions ... I have a Honeywell glow-worm fuel saver mark ii boiler. The electronic timer is controlling the hot water and central heating - however in last few days only the hot water is coming on.

The pilot light is on but it doesn't increase in power, as it did when the central heating used to work. It is suggestive that the electronic timer is failing to initiate the boiler in this mode.... Or perhaps the thermostat is failing to recognise how blinking cold it is in our house :)

Any suggestions gratefully received, as we wait for a plumber / central heating expert to want to return our calls for a call out.

If you have hot water then it suggests that the boiler is ok and the fault will be elsewhere. Tell us what zone valves you have fitted to the system(usually near the cylinder). If you have a multimeter and know how to use it, then that would also be of use.
