can anyone tell me what error code F9 on the above boiler is, got no hot water or heating and cannot hear water going through boiler

depends which pcb is fitted; early production f9 was a "global" fault code (could be anything).
thicko here what'sw a pcb and should a water sensor cost me £600 to fix

PCB = Printed Circuit Board ( its the electronic brains of your boiler)
and a "water sensor" does not, will not, never has and never will cost £600

Your best bet is a fixed price repair for £215 by glow worm themselves
