glowworm swift flow 100e no heating

Thank you in advance for anyone who takes the time out to read my post, i have a glow worm swift flow 100e the hot water works fine but nothing happens at all when i try to turn the heating on. Somebody suggested the clock timer needs replaceing but i can hear a ticking sound coming from the clock so im assuming this is working ok does anyone out there have any idea what the problem could be?Thanks again claire.

Have you turned up the room stat???

Or has it failed?

Thiose clocks can go intermittent. Try wihggling things, SOmetimes they'll work in timed mode with the tappets in the on position but not the Permanent On mode.

Pump stuck??

thank you for your replies, you will have to excuse me im a bit thick when it comes to things like this what is room stat?also how do i check that the pump is stuck, the hot water is working great would the pump be working to send out the hot water?

A room stat is the thing on the wall with numbers normaly on it and some sort of dial on it that you turn up and down. If the stat is set low the heating will not come on unless you turn it up, have a look in the hallway or lounge this is where they are normally.

If you cant find one of these then look at your rads if they all have TRVS (bits that you turn) then all of these may be turned off.

Hi, yes 4 years, iv checked the room stat and all rads they seem to be fine its totally mind boggling, i ran the heating through a few weeks ago just to make sure everything was fine and it worked great i'm just hoping this doesnt mean i need a new boiler
