Just jet washed the block paved driveway and will re sand tomorrow as its started to pour down with rain.

Main question is what is the best method to put down some glyphosate weed killer i have in the sachet form to keep those pesky weeds from growing between the paving.

I was going to use a sachet (covering 25msq) after resanding then just keep putting another down each month to keep on top of it all. Is this ok as it does say to put down when weeds are actively growing but at the moment there is none.
Any tried and proven methods with this. I have bought the 'Bayer garden super strength' in sachet form to be put in water to dissolve.

Thanks

As far as I know glyphosate only works when it is able to be absorbed by the leaves. That's why they need to be actively growing. It becomes pretty impotent once it's down and won't stop new growth. It's designed to kill the roots of what is there.

On the other hand I could be talking from my rear end so wait for someone to confirm ;)

yes glyphosate works by being absorbed by leaves and translocated down through the plant killing it completely.

You will do nothing but waste it spraying at the minute. If you want you could use 'dansand' which is a kiln dried sand with a pre emergent in it to stop weed growth dont know how good it is and imagine its expensive though.

Other option is to use pathclear season long which is a barrier type and should keep weeds at bay for a couple of months at least.
