Golf electric window winding mechanism

About to renew the cable mechanism on an 02 Golf electric window winding gear. Is there anything I shoud be aware of.
Do the winding motor/reduction gear have micro switch cut outs for fully closed/open, or is it a slip /clutch mechanism
I will find out on the job, but any advance info/advice will be much appretiated
