greenstar28i keeps over filling i have changed filling loop, still no joy. It keeps filling even when power to the boiler is shut off.

Not sure why the power to the boiler would affect the filling loop or am I missing something? Do you mean the pressure rises even when the boiler is off?

What does the pressure rise to, is it getting above 3 bar and opening the prv?

yes pressure keeps rising even when boiler is off. yes it goes above bar3 and it keeps going you have to press lever by hand to lower pressure, it does not open by it self to lower pressure.

plumber changed the loop still no joy. He said it might be heat exchanger, so to find out i should shut down power to boiler which I did for 4hours but it still kept filling. so he replaced loop again, still no joy. plumber has given up now.

He sounds like an idiot. Get someone who actually understands the very basic workings of a boiler. This is a very simple problem
