grohe concetto mixer tap

I have bought the above and it comes with solid chrome 10 mm tails attached. I also ordered some 10mm flexible hoses not knowing the tap came with tails already fitted. I would prefer to use the flexi's but there doesn't seem to be enough room inside the tap for them and I can't see how they are attached. Is it possible to remove the 10mm chrome tails and fit flexi's or do you have use these. If I do have to use these tail's can anyone suggest where I can get a suitable isolating valve that will fit, grohe do sell them but they'e very expensive at £30 each.

SOlid pipes are much more reliable than flexi's, and £30 each, considering the price of the tap, isn't disproportionate if they look nice.

These are a fiver each, you can take the handle off.
