I have moved in recently to my new home and when i began to redecorate and re-model i found some of the water pipes for the central heating system were something to be desired.

I put in new pipes and then re pressurised the system on the Ace high combi boiler but since then when the central heating goes on the pressure in the system goes up!

what the heck has gone wrong now?

does anyone know how i can fix it so it doesn't cost me a fortune to call out a plumber.

Thanks

The pressure cold should be just over 1 Bar. When the rads are hot to touch the pressure should have risen to about 2.

If it is rising higher than this and the cold pressure is as above, then you need to check the exp vessel pressure.

See FAQs on how to do this.
