hanging a mirror onto tile panels

Hi There

could somebody please help me!! i have recently decorated my bathroom with the tile panels u can get and it looks lovely but now im trying to hang a mirror and the screws i am using will only go the depth of the boards i have put up and wont go through the ceramic tiles behind them, the mirror is a metal decorative one and when u put it onto the screws what are in it falls off after about ten mins, i cant seem to get the mirror to grip it just has two teeth like grips in each top corner, what can i do??

If the screws are solid enough to take the weight of the mirror, have you tried bending the 'tooth like' clips (I presume these are the sort of things that are on the back of picture frames) so they hook over the screw heads much easier?

If the screws are not solid, and need to be deeper into the wall, then you will need to drill through the tiles underneath using a masonry or tile bit, with the drill set at a slow speed. You can then use the appropriate size wall plug and longer screws.
