Our hanging baskets seem to spin around a lot when it is windy, causing the flowers/shrubbery to get ripped apart by contact with the harled wall.

I was considering some kind of second attachment - from the wall to the bottom of the basket - i.e. secured around one of the green spokes of the bottom of the basket (see attached pic).

What is best way to do this (drill hole in masonry, then attach using???).

I do this just with garden string as it's out of sight underneath and at the back of the basket. I hammer one of these in and then pull the string through, round one of the wires of the basket and tie in a double bow. The string lasts for a season at least but you could use garden wire too.
