Hi all,
I am replacing my old floors in the downstairs of my home. The home was built 1860. My plan is to put underfloor heating in downstairs and my query is how far do I have to dig down to accommodate the new Hardcore, Sand and concrete slab specifically.
I have seen differing depth suggestions on several websites but nothing really specific regarding old homes that are well settled.
I was thinking of
100mm Hardcore?
30mm Sand?
DPM
Concrete Slab 100mm?
Insulation 50 or 70mm?
Piping in screed 35mm.
Any suggestion on what i'm doing right or more importantly Wrong!
Many thanks.
Zaq.
