I forget the arrogance of the people around here. Why can't you comprehend the idea of someone being able to understand something as simple as domestic central heating electrics?
You don't need to worry about me though, I don't have any plans to become a plumber or heating engineer and take any of your work
If it is now working with a 240v input then it seems that you can manage to control it with your Hive without replacing the boiler PCB.
It is quite likely that you have damaged the 24v input circuitry but it is faulted in the off condition and the boiler will continue to accept the 240v call for heat signal.
