Gravity stop valve broken so I go about replacing the tap.

I go and buy a 22mm screw on stop end.
Oh, this isn't allowed

What size is a 22mm out thread (inside the tank)?

The system in this country is absolutely ridiculous.
In Europe you can buy hot water tanks for £100 with cold water pressure, no header tanks and pipes here there and everywhere!!!!! p**'s take

You can quite easily

Not so easily.
No system out there as trouble free.
If you think there is then can you name it? (he won't)

When you come across low mains pressure its accumulators, pump sets and other various contraptions.
Which you can mark up to boost your profits.
Result is the client gets an over engineered system at a premium cost with the only benefit being he can brag about it to his neighbours. LoL

I wanted to know what the 22mm tank outlet fitment size was ie. The nut inside the tank.
I thought a 22mm compression screw on stop end would fit but it doesn't.

I ended up draining the system to fit a new stop tap.
