Headlight leveling

Hi Guys,
i have a 2001 ford courier van,1.8 td di,basically a Fiesta van.
The headlight leveling system does not work on my van,this does not worry me as the headlights are at a sensible level,the problem is a strange buzzing noise from the headlights when they are turned on,the noise comes and goes.
I suspect the strange noise is the headlamp adjustment motor,is there any way i could disconnect this leveling system ? I did try diconecting the leveling switch but this didnt make any difference,

I would imagine the headlamp motors would have there own multiblock connector, Tom so just connect it there.....if the motors haven't reached their datum position (0) for some reason, the motors will try to continue to turn.

Thanks for the reply John,this afternoon i had some spare time and so i took the headlight out and investigated,i decided to snip two of the 3 wires going to the motor,all seems well.the motor dose not have its own connector.

wouldve thought the motor/headlight was 1 complete unit.
if your confident then you can take the motors apart,and regrease etc,
but before you start make sure the adjuster button is set hi/lo,and remember to set the worm inside the same,
coz its a bu.gger when you dont,
