Heat resistant paint for tiles

Is there such a thing. i have a soild fuel fire (coal/wood burning) the surround for this is glossy ceramic tiles. i will come time replace the whole thing so in the mean time i want to paint over the tiles so it looks a bit more modern and presentable. the problem is i can find tile paint and i can find heat resistant paint but i can find a heat resistant tile paint. has anybody got any suggestions or experience with this

I would use a super grip type primer on the tiles first and then 2nd coat with the heat resistant paint. I think (but check) zinsser 123 is ok over tiles, if not the 123, they will have something in their range and you could also try blackfriars problem solving paint and dulux supergrip. I'm presuming the heat wont affect the primer if covered with heat resistant paint but do a little research and you'll be fine. Good luck.
