Does anyone know how having a shower set up as per a "wetroom" would affect the parameters of the relevant zones 1, 2 and 3?

That is, a tiled floor sloping to a floor drain, possibly with a shower curtain around the shower area, but without enclosure or tray.

I would like to install a panel hearter (zone 3 compliant) but obviously a wetroom creates more splash.

Thanks.

yes it does affect the zones..

these are the zones as defined in the 16'th edition.. ( not got my new book yet... :( )

zone 0 is effectively the same as zone 1 ( same radius, but zone 0 is the first 50mm vertically, and zone 1 the remaining up to a height of 2.25m..)

where the shower head is de-mountable ( ie on a hose, not a fixed shower head ) then zone 0 and zone 1 is limited by the vertical planes 1.2m from the water outlet.. ( ie 1.2m circle / arc from the point that the hose fixes to.. )

where the shower head is fixed, then zones 0 and 1 are limited by the vertical planes 0.6m from the sower head

zone 2 is limited to the vertical planes 0.6m from the edge of zone 1

zone 3 is limited to the vertical planes 2.4m from the edge of zone 2

Figure e) is wet rooms. Note, there is no zone 2 for wet rooms so outside of the 1.20mtrs is what was zone 3.
