heating oil issue

has anyone got any suggestion on the possible reason and how to resolve the following:-
Having let my oil tank run dry and having had it refilled I cannot get oil to the boiler. I have check at the stop cock by loosening the coupline and I get oil, I have check both couplings at the filter and I get oil, I have also blead the filter but I can leave the isolation valve open with the flexi pipe disconnected at the boiler and I get no oil?

Fire valve tripped?

Assuming you have one...

There is probably sludge or air causing an air lock, use a Vacuum pump to pull the oil through, probably best to get an oil service engineer in, as it can be messy in inexperienced hands!!

Thanks, it was the fire valve, all working again. Ah heat and a hot shower, life is wonderful.
