Dear fellow members,

I hope one of you can help clear up a problem I am experiencing with my Heatline c28 boiler. When the CH dial on the boiler is set to maximum temperature we cannot get any hot water when the CH is on even if the DHW dial is set to maximum. The boiler does not kick in when the hot water taps or shower is switched on. However, if we reduce the CH dial on the boiler to approximately 40-50 degrees then we get hot water??

Any idea what the problem may be? Or is this normal behaviour of these boilers? Does the CH take up all the power if it's on max? Ideally we'd like the radiators to be hotter than they are so the house warms up quicker but we'd obviously like hot water at the same time :D

Also, what does the 'e' stand for on the CH dial on the boiler?

Thanks

e will mean economy (probably).

Hot water should override the heating. No idea why the boiler behaves the way you describe other than a duff flow switch/turbine (can't remember what these have).

Thanks for the quick response, much appreciated. A duff flow switch does seem to be a common theme with these boilers. I'm hoping it is something I can get fixed instead of it being normal behaviour.

Just out of interest...has anyone else ever had this problem with a Heatline C28 boiler (or any other Heatline boiler)?
