Hi guys, just got a wall hung basin that will of course be hung onto our red brick wall.

we have been supplied with some "medium" sized bolts that the guy in the shop said would hold the weight.

i guess i am concerned that they wont as the basin is heavy... wot is the risk of the bolts taring out the wall and the basing falling off...should i buy a support or will they be ok.. i have read that getting larger bolts wont necessarily help as its all due to the purchase the bolts get...

i guess i am worried as i have no idea how strong the red bricks are and how strong the wall is....thoughts

Use a 10mm fixing such as Screwfix 71804, made by Fischer.
If installed exactly to the instructions and using masonry drills to get the exact plug hole diameter you wont go far wrong.
These need a 14mm hole drilled in the brickwork, but you wouldn't drill that in one go - so you drill smaller holes first, working your way up to 14mm.
