Hope someone can shed light on this one!!
Fully rewired a semi and new 100amp supply installed by authority.
A circular saw is being used next door which is also being refurbished/rewired.
The rewire here is virtually complete except for a couple of customer fittings.
When the circular saw is powered up it sometimes trips the RCD next door!!
I thought it was a wind up but the project manager is tearing his hair out!
I cant get back on site till tommorrow ..... any ideas????
Low voltage???

i was once told at college a few years ago that a high earth leak on a TT system can sometimes trip RCDs of other houses when earth rods are near. not sure how that works out

They only thing ive ever heared or seen on RCDs was a CB radio in a police station setting the RCD and strong thunder storms. Must admit thats a strange fault :!:
