Help me identify mystery pipe

Underneath the floorboards in the spare room is thick 'mystery' pipe that I would like some help identifying!

It appears in the middle room. You can see it as distinct from the radiator pipes:

But it's also up near the window:

Following it to the right of the above pic, it goes down into the kitchen:

And in the other direction (upwards) it goes up the wall:

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

As above old gas pipe screwed steel but know as black iron.
See it fairly regularly in 20s/30s property.
Has as been said make certain its not live!
Last year we found a property that had live pipework to every old gas light position (individually caped)

As above, very likely to be an old gas pipe, whether still live or not is anyones guess. Would need to trace it and find an open end to be certain, if you cant then you'll need a Gas Engineer to check and cap at source if still connected.
