Re-pressurising The System (See Fig. 1a).
(If in doubt leave this procedure to your installer).
Remove the bottom panel to gain access to the
filling loop assembly.
Insert the bayonet end of the filling key into the
corresponding cut outs in the filling loop housing and
twist to lock the key in place.
Turn the grey knob anti-clockwise to allow water
ingress and fill until the required pressure is reached.
Turn the grey knob clockwise to stop filling and
remove the filling key by lining up the bayonet end of
the key with the cut outs in the filling loop housing and
withdrawing the key.
N.B. The key must always be removed from the
filling loop housing after the system has been filled to
prevent accidental filling and to comply with Bylaw 14
of the Water Bylaws Scheme.
Store the key in a safe place for future use and refit
the bottom panel.

if you havent got the key your up the proverbial

ok so i turn the grey knob to let the water out an then do back up again and then it should work right????? sorry to be a nuissance, typical women i guess.

It does sound as if the boiler is not sensing a demand for hot water.

If it has failed then you need a boiler engineer to fix it.

The Landlord has an obligation to provide hot water heating in a rented out property.

If he refuses then you can complain to the Environmental Health officer who can serve repair notices under the Public Health Acts.

Is the grey knob your landlord  Go to Citizens Advice. Then tell the asshole that he has obligations. Who is he, Hoogstraten :?: Rackman

hi this may sound stupid, but is the key a certain type or can i borrow one from someone like a neihbour???

if they have the same boiler you might be lucky ;)
as posted get on to the flaming landlord and kick a**
he has a legal obligation (christ iv'e just agreed with agile )
must go for a lie down

What's the matter? You could always delete his post. :)

To save you the mental anguish (unless you've already had a few of course) :)

You can buy these keys from Parts CentRE (formerly HRPC) for about a fiver, get a receipt so you can charge it to the LL.

Sounds like the sort of LL that may not have had a Landlord's Safety check done in accordance with GS(I&U) regs. You should have been given a copy when you moved in, and annually thereafter. Tell him (though he sounds so stubborn he's probably a she) a Gasman has asked to see your copy and watch his a**e twitch as you tell him there's a £5000 max fine if convicted.

Could be you're a pain in the wotsit tenant who keeps breaking things ;)

I'll take the fantasy route, you must be a babe who's being victimised by LL, so fight back :)
