Help! No heating or hot water after gas safety check

That is of course true. It is the reaction to hearing about these faults that varies from abusing the person making the critique ( a few on this forum ) to other RGIs ( not on this forum ) who would take their colleague / apprentice to task if they made the same mistake.

The bottom line is the RGI left the house without having ensured the boiler was in working order when he left the house. Why would he test the boiler was working and then turn the gas off after testing the boiler fired up correctly ? Instead of abusing people try and explain how that could have happened.
you don't know what actually happened when the safety check was completed , so answering your question is a lot of if/buts and why tbh

And so jedI jumps in yelling and shouting like a idiot saying everybody is crap methinks he's a illegal
worker on gas. He just calls everyone names. Jedi your a waste of blood and organs do us all a
favour and bog off.

Was it not a professional GSR poster that offered the correct advice that the OP could then follow? Without that they may not have found the issue and turn the valve back on, hmmmm, hardly fixed it themselves then. Quite apparent that not all professionals are crap then, it would seem.

Phone him Monday and tell him off.:) Pressure to system should be approx 1.2bar with the system cold reduce pressure by bleeding a radiator.

Looks like the professional did not excuse the simple mistake the guy made.

So the arguments spouted about the professionals closing ranks is nothing but the usual 'strawman' certain trolls like to put up and then attack in order to make everyone think that's what the gas fitters on here said.

Truth is no ones defending what was a silly but safe mistake. They just think that Bernard and Jedi (BJ?) are axewounds (y)

Shame bernardgreen is not as strict with himself over the stupid advice he gives out.

The offending engineer does indeed need a telling off for his mistake. But chances are it was a mistake following one of the safety checks required of duties.

As for the idiot Jedi..... Well, he has nothing of use to offer the forum. So there's little point reading his drivel.

I guess the boiler man left without washing his hands, if he had washed them then he may have noticed there was no hot water.

This thread should of ended at post 6.
