Hi

Can anyone help a newbie please? This morning no heating/hot water but the pilot light is still working. Someone suggested it could be the thermocouple? If so can that be done by me or do i need to call out a plumber? My concern is that i don't get ripped off!
I reckon the boiler is around 10-14 years old and it is not a combi boiler.

Thanks in advance

Not the TC if the pilot's still on.
Then it depends on the boiler.....

This guy suggested to me that the TC is not identifying the fact that the pilot light is on and therefore not working and hence needs replacing? Complete Rubbish?
