Help replacing old thermostat with Honeywell CM907

I have Ferroli Modena 102 boiler with an old wickes thermostat connected to it.

Have purchased a Honeywell CM907 to replace it, my current thermostat has two wires (blue & brown) with 20v going through it, connected to terminals 1 & 2 and then straight into boiler.

Do these two wires connect to terminals A & B on the CM907, does it matter which way round?

Yes they connect to A and B. It does not matter which way round but, on the assumption that brown is live and blue is the switched live, it's preferable to put brown on A and blue on B.
