Hi guys, few months ago i fit a complete bathroom in my house. Everything went fine, no probs, no leaks nothing. Was very proud of my job until I realised there was a water leak coming from the bath to the ceiling floor below.
I opened the side of the bath and couldnt see any water leak however the ceiling below kept showing evidence of water leakage. So after looking carefully I have realised water is seeping through where the bath butts upto the wall.
Now based on the floor directly under the bath I have realised the water is seeping through some gap a third the way in and doesnt seem like a large area its leaking through. It only leaks when having a shower in the bath.
My method of fixing the bath was to bead clear silicon to where the bath would touch the wall all around, one done, Id fix the bath in place and then apply a decent amount of clear silicon making sure all gaps are covered. Once done I fixed the internal cove seal trim however done so by adding a little more silicon before pushing it tight in and then screwing in. Once all done I finished off with tiling all around.
I use this method all the time and have never had a leaking of such sort.
Now my problem is, how on earth can i fix this since its not exactly easy to get my hand under and to the effected area. I am in a right limbo and would appreaciate every help you guys can offer
