Me and my dad spent hours digging up weeds and shrubs etc, turning the soil over in our garden, and I planted bulbs. Now the bulbs are starting to grow but the soil is SO dry. I read someone else's topic and the advice was too add compost. Obviously I don't want to have to dig up all the bulbs that i've already planted and i've been adding compost and plant food to the soil, but that has just dried out too...
Can anybody help?

bulbs will be fine and dont disturb them add compost to the soil, can be left on top and will get pulled into teh soil by worms. If its that dry, a touch of water wont go amiss!
