Ive noticed that the pressure gauge on my Vokera compact boiler is at 4 in the red zone. There is no water dripping from outside pipe. Tried turning boiler off for a while but no change. Could anyone tell me if this is safe to leave for 2 weeks with boiler turned on intermittently or will doing this cause any damage. Thanks

If there's no water dripping from the PRV discharge pipe outside that needs urgent attention, if the pressure relief valve isn't working then the pressure may be released from the next weakest point in your system / boiler.

As to why it's like this, could be one of three reasons. Firstly, your expansion vessel could have blown, however if the pressure hasn't reduced as the boiler cooled down this is unlikely
Secondly, your filling loop might be passing. Check it's turned off and disconnect it if possible.
Thirdly, the heat exchanger may have broken. Turn off your water mains, open a hot tap and see whether the pressure drops. If it does, you need a new heat exchanger.

Needs sorting before the boiler is used again really, why do you want to wait two weeks?
