Depends on the model number. Some have the blades in the middle, smaller ones have thd bkades on one side with the motor on the other.
There are lots of videos that will give you a clue, like this.

PS. these things aren’t light!!. Not so bad cutting a vertical chase as you are using the weight to enable the cut.
If you doing horizontal, suggest you fix a batten to rest the chaser on and to give you a guide.
