I have removed my old electric hob and it runs on a seperate 30amp switched supply. The wire is heavy duty i cannot connect me new hob because the wire is so thick i cannot get it in the terminals. What size wire or flex do i need? can i connect it to the thicker stuff with a simple connector block?
thanks wayne

I would hope you have a cooker outlet in the wall something like this

After you have isolated the supply you can take the plastic cover off and you will find a big connector block inside.

Depending on the wattage of your hob you will probably need to connect it in 6mm or 4mm cable.

Yeah i have one with a switch on it and a light. Thanks for the prompt reply i will sort it asap :D :D :D
