After finishing the new bathroom - a rip-out and start again from scratch job - the radiator has sprung a pin-prick hole in the skin. I hadn't spotted the tiny rust spot when I stripped the old paint off and re-painted it.

Can this be sealed with something like magicmetal, or is it a throwaway and replace job?

I would rather replace it as you might find more holes as you repair the first one.

I know. It's just me being a cheapskate as usual :)

I once successfully repaired one by rubbing the area down to the bare metal ,applying plumbers flux and soldering a blob over the hole .
Trouble was I had to drain the radiater first and the finished result looked flippin awful.More holes then started to appear.
Dont bother!
Replace the rad and put some rust inhibiter in the CH Header tank.
