Honeywell accenta G4 back up battery problem

Hi, I have recently had a problem with this panel during power cuts. had a power cut the other night which set the alarm sounding(external bell also), so I have changed the panel battery. after simulating a mains failure again I have had again the alarm going off. so checked the battery fuse, which was blown and so I have replaced that also, only for it to blow again!
on closer inspection I have noticed on the pcb that there is a component that appears burnt out, a little above the battery fuse carrier. Im presuming this is the problem and i need to replace the panel? Is this a known problem, anyone had the same thing happen?

Yes common issue with all ADE panels....if not looked after e.g. Battery change every 5 years

The battery was fitted on initial installation coming up 5 years ago now, ah well.
