Hi,

I am looking to replace an old thermostat and need some advice.

I just wanted to know if it is possible to use a Honeywell DT90e thermostat with a Potterton Profile 60e boiler. The boiler is a non-condensing gas boiler. Info about the boiler can be found here: http://www.homeheatingguide.co.uk/efficiency-tables.php?model=001966.

Will this thermostat be alright with this boiler?

If I can use this thermostat can you suggest which settings would be best for this boiler. e.g cycle rate, minimum on/off time etc.

Any help is appreciated.

They will work fine together.

Regarding the temperature setting, that's easy. For the best economy set the thermostat as low as you can without feeling uncomfortable. The cycle time will depend upon many variants, the thermal properties of your home, how long the heating is on for, the weather, your personal comfort, the number and sizes of your radiators, and so on.
