Honeywell st699

Hi I am thinking of changing my st699 controller to a hive or similar system, most of the wiring seems fairly straightforward but there are wires running to the 5 and 8 com terminals what should be done with these?just run them to the live or do they need to go elsewhere?

if you go with hive dual channel the links are not required they are built in to the unit so those links are just removed

I realise the com link cables are removed but it's the wiring that comes off them and goes into the wall I'm not sure about
