Hi,
I'm looking to redo our bathroom and wanted some advice...

In previous properties I've changed each piece but never as a full ensemble. I'm not going to be doing anything with the electrics but wondered if there was any legislation I should be aware of? (in terms of plumbing etc)

The bathroom layout currently has an internal soil stack servicing also the flat above and below. The layout is fairly standard, going from the soil stack, closest is the toilet, then sink and then the bath. We'd like to swap the position of the sink and toilet, thus increasing the length of horizontal pipe going from the toilet -rather than having a 90deg bend and 30cm horizontal to the stack, it would have a 90deg bend and about 1 meter to the stack. Would this be ok, what is the maximum acceptable length that a horizontal toilet waste pipe can be? Would I have issues with flushing waste, would a standard sized cistern and flush be ok to shift stuff along the horizontal?

Cheers,
Ben

6m is the max horizontal (though i've never come across poop police before). 1m will be fine, 18mm fall per meter is advisery.
