Ive brought a disaster..ripped out..walls of plaster fell down..shower had never been sealed ..bath leaked under...damp everywhere but latest is I removed thick sealant from stone walls and all stone effloress is there anything I can do to rectify the awful mess

Sorry..panic set in. Question...Does anyone know how I can get rid of all the white crystalline stuff thats appeared on walls since removed this thick varnish/sealant that previous people had smothered walls with?. Not managed to get all varnish off and I do not think will try to since all these white/grey crystalline stuff is on stones. I have tried brushing off with wire brush...if not what sort of breathable product would lessen the unsightly areas. The stones are brown/blackish. Thank you
