We had a plumber around recently to install a new shower and toilet. Since then, we have hot water, but no central heating. Is this a coincidence or is there a valve or something simple that may not have been switched over since the instillation? Thermostat clicks on, boiler works, all switches seem to be on, boiler starts when the main heating control is switched on, pump seems to be working.

The installation of the shower and toilet wouldn't effect the central heating. The only thing he would of done is maybe turn off the boiler whilst he had the water off, check your timers etc are all correct as he may of turned them off too and it may now not be set to come on.
