Hot water but no more cold water

bit more investigation needed.
1 The kitchen tap is on the mains. Is there mains cold water working somewhere else in the house. (is the bath cold tap on mains ?)
2 Is there a service valve to the kitchen tap and is it on - look under the sink for the two pipes connected to the kitchen tap and see if there are any kind of valves (taps) on each pipe.
If the water supply is OK, there is a problem with your kitchen mixer tap - need someone to look at it.
Check out where the mains stop cock is just in case you need turn the water off in a hurry.
