Not sure if this problem is with the hot water heater or the plumbing. The hot water in my shower is fine for a few minutes and then it starts to get cold. I can then turn the hot on the faucet up more and it gets hot again instantly and remains at that temperature for a few more minutes untill it gets cold again. Then I turn the hot up more and the cycle continues. I've read about dip tube problems in hot water heaters where cold water is introduced to the top of the heater but that doesn't seem to jive here because I can get hot water again just by turning up the faucet more. A plumber has checked out the heater and said that it's fine and recommended flushing it. That was done but the problem still exists. Any ideas?
